PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This concentration prepares graduates for administrative management positions in nonprofit organizations and other organizations that regulate or fund nonprofit organizations. The program provides students with opportunities in the classroom and in the field to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become an effective pro­gram administrator. This concentration is designed to assist individuals who are serving in nonprofit organizations or those seeking to serve in the nonprofit sector.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the University’s admission requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (lower GPA’s will be considered based on overall strength of application)
  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Departmental interview may be required
  • Personal statement
  • Writing sample
  • Professional Resume/CV
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores (for applicants whose native language is not English). Exceptions can be made for students who have completed at least 6 credits of college level English courses from a U.S. institution, or who have submitted SAT or ACT exam scores.

  • 6 credit internship (may be waived for students with appropriate experience)
