Scholarships

Please find below scholarships specific to occupational therapy students offered by Kean University. However, please note that there are variety of other potential scholarships to which you may apply.


Kathy Hering-Brady Scholarship
Awarded to graduate students in the Occupational Therapy Program entering their final or Fieldwork II semester.  The successful candidate will demonstrate client-centered values and demonstrate specialization in mental health or the psychosocial aspect of the profession.

Frank J. Bulfin Endowed Memorial Occupational Therapy Scholarship
Awarded to a self supporting OT student preparing for clinical fieldwork, who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum of 3.2 GPA.

Dr. Karen Stern Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to seniors and graduate students majoring in OT.  Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Joanne Hurley Florentino Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is for adult women, 40 or older, who demonstrate financial need.  Preference is given students in the Occupational Therapy Department.

Elman Family Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students
Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.  This scholarship is designated for non-traditional age students.  Internships may also be possible for recipients majoring in Education, Psychology, and Occupational Therapy.
